The client had developed a unique imaging storage system for hospitals and research organizations and wanted a formal assessment of the new business direction. After evaluating potential customers, manufacturers, resellers and internal company capabilities, 1st Wave concluded that architectural and purchasing considerations by the target customers would slow purchasing decisions and limit penetration of the target market segment. 1st Wave developed a new strategy and plan for smaller organizations and clinics. The client has successfully entered the alternative segment and has secured a large OEM distribution agreement for its product line.
